Building · Drawings · Plans
William Ingraham
Will was born and raised in Fairfield County, Connecticut, where he built a career as a successful builder before working on Lovango Resort & Beach Club on Lovango Cay in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He moved to Buffalo with his family in 2024 to be closer to Maddy's family — and because he fell for the architecture and history of the city, especially Elmwood Village, which he now calls home.
He runs the building side of Block House: drawings, plans, permitting, and the day-to-day management of every job site. His goal on a historic home is to match the original integrity that has already kept it standing for a century, so it lasts another hundred years with his help — and he brings the same standard to new construction, building for permanence rather than trend.
Lead Designer, Architectural Interiors
Madeline Ingraham
Maddy was born and raised in the Buffalo area, then spent years living in California, Boston, Italy, and the U.S. Virgin Islands before returning home. Along the way she gathered an eye for design shaped by each of those places — and she leads architectural interiors at Block House with the goal of bringing that elevated, well-traveled style back to Buffalo.
She shapes the material and finish decisions that give each home its character, from millwork profiles to lighting and layout. Her work is documented alongside current projects on Instagram.

How we work
These homes have already stood for a hundred years. Our goal on every project — old or new — is to build so it stands for a hundred more.
01 — Focus
Historic homes in Elmwood Village and across Buffalo are our core work, alongside larger projects outside the city and new construction.
02 — One Team
Design and build sit under one roof. Drawings, budget, and finish decisions are made together from the start. You can also hire us for design alone, or for a renovation consultation.
03 — Built to Last
On a historic home, that means matching the original integrity that got it this far. On a new build, it means the same mindset from the ground up: a timeless style and quality materials chosen to last multiple generations, not one trend cycle.
